How I work

All works listed on this website are painted by me. I prefer to work traditionally with mixed media, combining different materials such as pencil, ballpoint pen, coloured pencil, watercolour, ink, gouache and acrylic. Some of the works were created using a mix of analogue and digital techniques. When I work digitally, I use programmes such as Affinity and Procreate.

Since the end of 2025, I have also been working in oil.

I usually keep several sketchbooks at the same time to draw basic ideas, collect impressions and develop image ideas. Varying between A6 and A4, I like that I can freely try things out and experiment in my sketchbooks. They are not representative, but sometimes chaotic and erratic. You'll even find the odd shopping list or phone number in there.
